February 24 Updates

New Features

  • New Patient Extraction Model is Now Live! We've made an exciting new update to our patient extraction model. This includes the patient's Name, DOB, Gender, Mobile Number, and Address. You should be seeing much greater accuracy for all fields and it's now available for all customers who have AI enabled on their account. It also parses the patient's first, middle, and last name separately so it should be much easier to find a matching patient chart using our Send to Chart feature. Updates like this are coming soon for the rest of our models like insurance and referring provider extraction.
  • You can now add a note to Task Template. For organizations using an EMR that supports tasking from Medsender, you'll be able to add a note to your existing Task Templates which will pre-fill the note field when you create a task from Medsender.

Bug Fixes

  • Not all of the fields extracted by our AI were showing up in the Create Chart form in certain pages. The Create Chart form will now be prefilled with the information our AI extracted, regardless of what page you're on.

February 11 Updates

New Features

  • MAIRA 2.0 is now live! We initially launched MAIRA back in November with our first customer. We learned a lot since then and wanted to build an even better, more human sounding AI voice agent to help with almost any call your practice will receive. Visit our website to learn more and try it for yourself!
  • You can now disable the create task button via a feature flag. For organizations using an EMR that supports tasking from Medsender, you can now hide the create task button and only allow tasking from the send to chart or create chart buttons to better streamline staff workflows.

Enhancements

  • You might have noticed our app responding just a little bit faster than normal. Our team pushed some updates to our infrastructure to decrease response times across the board. We have even more updates coming soon that will make our app even faster, so stay tuned!

New Features

  • We've updated our home page! We now show a header on the top of the home page. This is the first part of our redesigned home page. We've be adding counts to the new icons and also adding previews of your inbox pages as well. Keep an eye out!

Enhancements

  • You can now highlight text in any of the document list pages. Before, if you highlight any text on any row, it would open the document for you to view.
  • For ModMed users, we only allow alphanumeric characters when putting the policy and group numbers when creating a chart.

New Features

  • Organizations can now disable the me only privacy setting. Contact our team to change this setting.

Enhancements

  • The primary phone number listed when creating a chart in EMA will now go in the mobile number field instead of the home number field. The secondary phone number will be the home number now as well.

November 22 Updates

New Features

  • We now support automatically sending sent faxes to the patient chart! This means you can keep track of sent faxes in the patient chart in your EMR! We're starting with EMA for this feature. If you have admin access, you can enable this feature by going to the Settings page and then Toggle Features. Enable the feature that's titled Auto Upload After Sending Fax. If you'd like this feature with another EMR, let us know!
  • We now sync the referring provider when creating a chart in EMA!
  • Our AI can now detect Biologics. Contact our team to learn more about enabling and using this feature.

Enhancements

  • Clicking on the icon when there was an issue syncing insurance information with your EMR will open the patient chart in a new tab.

November 9 Updates

New Features

  • New Categorization AI! We deployed a new version of our categorization AI that is much more accurate. We also added two new AI categories: Orders and Clinical Notes.
  • We now support syncing secondary insurance in EMA! We recently added support for validating primary insurance information within EMA. We now support collecting and validating secondary insurance as well when creating charts.

November 6 Updates

New Features

  • Medsender supports EMA Auto Fax! If you haven't noticed, in EMA, when you are finalizing a visit note and want to auto fax back to the referring provider or primary care physician, you can now auto fax through Medsender. We can even generate coversheets for the referring provider or PCP. Contact our team to learn more.
  • Redesigned Medsender Nav! As part of our overall app redesign, we've pushed an update to our navigation bar on the left. Check it out!

Enhancements

  • Super Admins can now manage users and departments from new tabs! This allows them to better filter/search for users/departments across their multiple organizations.

Fixes

  • Moves the Alert Messages to the top of the page so it doesn't block buttons when viewing records.

New Features

  • Redesigned Medsender Header! As part of our overall app redesign, we've pushed an update to our header. Check it out!

Enhancements

  • We'll now scan for different date formats in documents for multiple patients in a document. This will increase the accuracy of detecting documents with multiple patients.

October Updates

New Features

  • Medsender supports syncing insurance information for EMA! Our AI already extracts the patient's primary and secondary information. You can now verify the insurance information when creating a chart in EMA through Medsender. We currently support primary insurance validation, with secondary insurance coming very soon.
  • We can now pull DIRECT messages from EMA into Medsender. We'll automatically convert the DIRECT messages into PDF and extract the necessary information just like our AI does and put it into your inbox.
  • Clicking on a document in the table view will have the document expand it out using our new slide-out viewer. This makes it much easier to navigate your documents.
  • Added a Medsender button to the navigation menu in EMA for easier access to Medsender.
  • Added the Send via Medsender button to visit notes in EMA.

Enhancements

  • You can now preview a referral reply template before you send it back to the referring provider.
  • You can now have multiple SMS templates for referrals, with one being the default.
  • We'll now display the last currently assigned user to documents in the Inbox.
  • If you have the feature enabled when signing a document to automagically add your name and date signed below the signature, we'll also automatically add the recipient's name and date signed on their signatures when signing a document sent by you. This only applies when the document was sent to an email address or to patients.
  • You can now specify due date for tasks created with EMA.
