New Features

• You can edit records received via email in your inbox! If you have a Medsender email address that you receive documents to, you can now edit those documents within our built in PDF viewer.

Enhancements

• We've updated some of our AI Models! We've updated the AI models for insurance extraction, referring provider, ordering provider, and detecting if the document contains multiple patients.

New Features

• You can now add labels to email attachments! For those of you receiving documents via the Medsender email address we give you, you can now assign labels to those types of documents in the inbox or referral management page.
• New Nymbl Integration! We're now using a new Nymbl API to create charts. It's a lot faster, more reliable, and allows syncing more fields in Nymbl. We'll be enabling this for customers over the next weeks.

Enhancements

• The push to EMR icons have a new color! If you complete any EMR push event (like send to chart, create chart, etc), we'll now display the icon in green instead of blue to signify if it's successful. This also applies to AI status icons. If the AI was successful in extracting information, it'll be displayed in green.
• We now track which user submitted an EMR Upload! If a user submits an EMR upload request (send to chart, create chart, etc), we'll track the user who submitted that request and make that data available for reporting.

Bug Fixes

• Fix issues with the referral report. We've fixed the issue where sometimes the referral report in the admin dashboard wouldn't send to your email.
• Fix an issue with scrolling on iPads. If you have a modal open, there was a bug that prevented you from scrolling sometimes. This has been addressed.

New Features

• You can now add due dates to referral statuses! In the Referral Management page, you can assign a due date next to each status on a referral. Additionally, Admins can configure a default due date for each referral status. That means, if a user changes the status of a referral to a status with a default due date, it'll automatically set the due date without staff having to enter it.

Enhancements

• When resending records in the sent page, we update the same transmission! Previously, it would create a new sent document so you'd still see a failed transmission in your sent page. Now, it'll update the same transmission so you know if it went through successfully when filtering for failed transmissions.
• Add timestamp to signatures. When signing a document, we now display the time you signed along with the date. We also updated the copy to say `Electronically signed by...`.

New Features

• You can now schedule faxes to be sent later! When sending a document via Fax in Medsender, you'll see a checkbox called `Schedule for Later` at the bottom of the form to send a document. Checking that will allow you to input a date and time for this fax to be sent at. This will allow you to achieve a higher delivery rate if the recipient fax line is always busy during normal business hours.
• Added filtering by patient name and DOB for Voice calls! For users who have access to MAIRA (our AI voice assistant), you can now search your call logs by the patient's name and/or DOB.
• We now track SMS Opt Outs from Patients! We'll now notify you when you attempt to send a text message to your patient that they've opted out of receiving texts so you can contact them another way.

Enhancements

• You can now assign a document to anyone in your organization! Previously, you could only assign a document to someone who already has access to it. Now, if you try to assign a document to someone in your organization who doesn't already have access, we'll confirm with you if you'd like to give them access. If you agree, we'll assign it to the user and give them access.
• You can now scroll behind a pop up dialog. If you haven't noticed yet, you can now scroll when viewing a record even if you have a pop up dialog open. This is especially useful if you're trying to send a document to the chart in your EMR and want to confirm the details while having the document open.
• We now include the patient's middle name when creating a chart.
• We've made updates to the sent documents page to be a lot more responsive. You should see load times improve dramatically when viewing your sent documents.

Bug Fixes

• We were previously using the appointment created date for referral reply templates. We're now using the appointment date instead when it's included in your referral reply template.
• Sometimes you would see the same assignee multiple times when trying to assign a task in Medsender. You'll now only see the person once when assigning a task and searching for assignees.
• A similar issue would happen with document categories. We now will only display the category once when selecting it for a document.

Enhancements

• New Title and Summary AI Live! Continuing with our updates to our AI, we've updated the title and summary models to contain more relevant information from the document. This update is available for all our users, so everyone will be seeing the title field show up if they have access to AI features in Medsender.
• You can now assign documents from Referral Management. Just like in the inbox page, you can now assign documents from within the referral management page.
• You can add a default note to Task Templates. For customers using EMRs that support tasking, you can add a default note to existing or new Task Templates. Go to Settings -> Manage Task Templates to try it out.

New Features

• New Patient Extraction Model is Now Live! We've made an exciting new update to our patient extraction model. This includes the patient's Name, DOB, Gender, Mobile Number, and Address. You should be seeing much greater accuracy for all fields and it's now available for all customers who have AI enabled on their account. It also parses the patient's first, middle, and last name separately so it should be much easier to find a matching patient chart using our Send to Chart feature. Updates like this are coming soon for the rest of our models like insurance and referring provider extraction.
• You can now add a note to Task Template. For organizations using an EMR that supports tasking from Medsender, you'll be able to add a note to your existing Task Templates which will pre-fill the note field when you create a task from Medsender.

Bug Fixes

• Not all of the fields extracted by our AI were showing up in the Create Chart form in certain pages. The Create Chart form will now be prefilled with the information our AI extracted, regardless of what page you're on.

New Features

• MAIRA 2.0 is now live! We initially launched MAIRA back in November with our first customer. We learned a lot since then and wanted to build an even better, more human sounding AI voice agent to help with almost any call your practice will receive. Visit our website to learn more and try it for yourself!
• You can now disable the create task button via a feature flag. For organizations using an EMR that supports tasking from Medsender, you can now hide the create task button and only allow tasking from the send to chart or create chart buttons to better streamline staff workflows.

Enhancements

• You might have noticed our app responding just a little bit faster than normal. Our team pushed some updates to our infrastructure to decrease response times across the board. We have even more updates coming soon that will make our app even faster, so stay tuned!

• We've updated our home page! We now show a header on the top of the home page. This is the first part of our redesigned home page. We've be adding counts to the new icons and also adding previews of your inbox pages as well. Keep an eye out!
